What To Expect
Elmwood is a Church of Christ. One historic attribute of Churches of Christ is that each congregation is autonomous in both leadership and behavior. That means every Church of Christ in the world can look and feel a little or a lot different than the one with which you are most familiar.
When you join us for worship at Elmwood, you’ll be part of inspiring a cappella singing, public reading of Scripture and prayer, weekly sharing in the Lord’s Supper, and Bible-based lessons. We have a worship leader and a praise team, men and women both participate in public worship, the Bible reading is done in English and Spanish each week, an attended nursery is available for babies, and children’s worship is available for pre-school and elementary school children. Our worship time is flexible in accordance with the working of the Spirit, but it typically lasts 60-70 minutes.

LIFE Groups
Elmwood’s Life Groups are made up of six to twelve people who meet each Sunday evening in homes. They provide opportunity for Bible study, fellowship, and community.

Hispanic Ministry
Elmwood enjoys interacting with and ministering to members of the extensive Hispanic community here in Lafayette. We have a Spanish class/service at 10:40a.m. each Sunday.
